When it's right

Brow shaping every three to four weeks keeps a design tidy. Tinting lasts around two to four weeks on hair and, with henna, up to a couple of weeks on the skin. Book three to five days before an event so colour has settled to its true tone.

Why professional matters

Brows are not symmetrical and should not be made so. Faces are asymmetrical, and forcing two identical brows onto an asymmetrical face is what makes brow work look done. Brow mapping and why it matters

Brow mapping uses fixed points on your face to determine where a brow should begin, where the arch should sit and where the tail should end. The start typically aligns with the inner corner of the eye, the arch sits roughly two thirds along, and the tail ends on a diagonal from the outer nostril past the outer corner of the eye. These are guides, not rules: a heavy brow bone, deep-set eyes or a narrow face all change the ideal shape. Mapping is also how we handle asymmetry sensibly, matching visual weight rather than forcing identical measurements.

Tint versus BUFF BROWZ henna

Standard brow tint colours the hair only. It lasts around two to four weeks depending on your skin type, skincare routine and sun exposure, and gives a soft, natural depth. BUFF BROWZ henna coats the hair and also stains the skin beneath it, so sparse or gappy areas look filled in. The skin stain typically lasts up to around two weeks and fades gradually, while the hair colour lasts longer. Henna is the better choice if you have gaps; standard tint is the better choice if you have plenty of hair and simply want it darker.

Growing brows back

If you are recovering from years of over-plucking, the honest answer is that it takes months and some follicles never restart. The strategy is: stop tweezing entirely between appointments, let us shape only what genuinely falls outside the line, use henna to visually fill the gaps while hair regrows, and be patient through the awkward middle stage. Most clients see a meaningful difference by three months and a substantial one by six.

Lash treatments

Lash tinting darkens fair or grey lashes so the eye looks defined without mascara. It is especially useful for holidays, swimming, the gym and anyone who wears contact lenses and dislikes mascara flakes. As with brow tint, a patch test at least 48 hours beforehand is required. Aftercare is simple: no steam, swimming or oil-based cleanser for 24 hours, then treat as normal.

Patch testing and safety

Tint and henna contain colourants capable of causing allergic reactions, and reactions can develop even in people who have been tinted many times before. We patch test every new client and re-test if it has been a long time since your last treatment or if you have had any reaction to hair dye. If you are pregnant, have had a recent reaction to hair colour, or have eczema or dermatitis in the area, tell us at booking and we will discuss whether to proceed.

A good result is not created by the treatment name alone.
